Please join Adoptive Families of Houston for the first program of the season that is a FIRST OF ITS KIND to hear a panel of adoptive parents -and AFH members-share their heart-warming stories of how their family grew through adoption and issues that came up along the way.
Discussion topics will include blended families (adopted and biological children), parenting at an older age, relationships with birth families, interracial adoptions, the adoption process and much much more!
Our panel discussions are interactive, fun and informal with ample time for Q&A throughout the evening. We hope you can join us, and we encourage you to invite extended family members since this is a great opportunity for adoption education.
Parking is available on both the Westheimer and River Oaks Blvd sides. Signs will be placed leading to the meeting room, which is in Sumners Hall.
Doors Open at 6:30PM for Mix and Mingle/Snacks, Program begins at 7PM
This program is offered for $10/person (or included in the $30 annual family membership fee).
Childcare will be available at each program for $10/child

As child care costs are highly subsidized by the group we ask that payment be rendered in advance.

Continuing Education Units approved by the Texas State Board of Social Workers Examiners will be available to interested attendees at an additional cost.
